CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

The Halaal Authority of Southern Africa (HASA) is committed to protecting the confidentiality of all information that we receive from our clients, employees, and other stakeholders. POPIA Act Policy

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) is a South African law that regulates the collection, processing, and retention of personal information. The Halaal Authority of Southern Africa (HASA) is committed to protecting the personal information of our clients, employees, and other stakeholders in accordance with POPIA.

To ensure compliance with POPIA, HASA has established the following policies and procedures:

  1. Collection of Personal Information: HASA will only collect personal information that is necessary for the purposes of providing halaal certification services and supporting charitable causes. Personal information will be collected fairly and lawfully, and individuals will be informed of the purposes for which their information will be used.
